Israel-Iran conflict pushed oil prices up, leading to upcoming fuel price hike
Both grades of petrol will go up by 55 and 52 cents per litre respectively, while diesel will hike up between 84 cents and 82 cents a litre.

JOHANNESBURG - The conflict between Israel and Iran has pushed oil prices up, leading to a fuel price hike in South Africa come midnight on Wednesday.
Both grades of petrol will go up by 55 and 52 cents per litre, respectively, while diesel will hike up between 84 cents and 82 cents a litre.
Department of Mineral Resources spokesperson, Robert Maake, elaborated on what other increases can be expected.
"Illuminating paraffin at retail level will increase by 89 cents a litre. And the maximum retail price of LP gas will decrease by 57 cents per litre countrywide, except in the Western Cape where the maximum retail price of LP gas will increase by R1.90 per kilogram."
