JOHANNESBURG - A foreign national in Rosettenville, south of Johannesburg, said that she’d been denied access to the local clinic for the past three days.
Some residents in the area have been manning the main entrance of the Rosettenville clinic, stopping any foreign nationals from getting medical care.
The community members said that the facility is often full, leaving South Africans without help.
Speaking to EWN anonymously, she said that she hopes everyone who needs help, including foreign nationals, can be assisted.
"I am shocked, as usually, I use this clinic, i do get help at any time. For these three days, it's been hard for us to get any help from the clinic. For me, it is just painful to see all the people that are turned away all the time."
Over the past week, there have been several protests staged at clinics across the metro.
