After suspect granted bail, family of murdered Likhona Fose hopes police will make more arrests
The court found that there was not enough evidence linking Mduzi Mnisi to a series of events leading to Fose’s death.
JOHANNESBURG - The family of 14-year-old Likhona Fose, whose body was discovered mutilated in an open veld, is hoping police will make more arrests on the matter, as they desperately seek answers.
This comes after the man accused of her murder was granted bail of R5,000 at the Roodepoort Magistrates Court in Johannesburg on Wednesday.
The court found that there was not enough evidence linking Mduzi Mnisi to a series of events leading to Fose’s death.
The teen’s grandfather, Thozamile Mlenze, said that the family had hoped Mnisi would be kept behind bars.
"As a family, even before, we never suspected anyone, even now, after he was released on bail, we have hope that law enforcement will do their job until they find the person who killed Likhona."
