The annual Bookmark Awards celebrate innovation, creativity, and effectiveness in the digital media and marketing industry.

This year, Primedia Broadcasting excels, with five of our entries making it to the finals.

Publisher Innovation Category

Launched in 2024, our Primedia+ app is in the running for the best Publisher Innovation Award.

The app brings all the best content from our four stations (702, CapeTalk, 947, and Kfm) into one central place, so our listeners never miss a thing. It is also home to exclusive Primedia+ content, including bespoke podcasts, videos, and more.

Live Event Content

Anyone in Cape Town knows that Kfm’s Galaxy KDay is an event not to be missed.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that our Galaxy KDay 2024 is in the running for best live event.

In Gauteng, 947’s 2024 School Invasion is a finalist for best Social Media Content and Campaigns.

Video Content & Campaigns Category

It is not only our radio stations making waves. EWN has been recognised for excellence in digital publishing and storytelling.

Primedia's Eyewitness News brand is a finalist in the Video Content & Campaigns category for two impactful entries that shed light on critical issues affecting South Africans.

The first EWN nomination is for coverage of ‘Election stories across the nine provinces’, capturing the hopes, frustrations and voices of everyday South Africans ahead of the country’s 7th general elections in 2024.

The second nomination is EWN’s first half an hour documentary titled Trapped by loyalty, Bound by blood: the gangster code in South Africa.

The team travelled to some of the most gang-ridden areas in South Africa - Westbury in Gauteng, Hanover Park and Manenberg in Western Cape and Wentworth in KwaZulu-Natal - to uncover the harsh realities of gangsterism and explore the life cycle of a gangster through the voices of those directly affected.
