CAPE TOWN - Alleged baby snatcher Shameemah Jacobs is due to make her second appearance in the Bellville Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Jacobs is charged with kidnapping and defeating the ends of justice after police tracked her down to Tafelsig in Mitchells Plain after the baby was abducted on 28 June.
When Jacobs last appeared, the state asked for more time to collect bail information.
The baby's mother, Imaan Sharmar said she will be ready to face the infant's alleged kidnapper in court on Thursday.
After the matter was postponed for the state to obtain bail information last week, Sharmar told EWN she wasn't ready to see Jacobs.

"I'm having a lot of anxiety and I'm not able to handle it. I just need to gather myself and just come much more prepared next time."
Sharmar said she would prefer it if Jacobs remains behind bars.
"I don't think I'll feel safe if she's released on bail... no... not at all."
The prosecution is set to present the court with a bail profile for Jacobs when the matter proceeds.
