In the wake of her debut single release, Amy Jordan-Lee discusses what inspired the song, and how she made it to where she is.

Amy Jordan-Lee's journey started in her late teens, when she started posting videos to TikTok showcasing her vocal talent. At first, she didn't think much of it, but then people started noticing, and suggesting that she make a career from it.
“Literally every corner that I was, people were like, ‘can you sing us a song’, can you just do that? And I was like, okay, maybe people actually like what I do”

Seeing an opportunity to break herself out of her shell, Jordan-Lee pushed herself to start posting more consistently, and as a result, now has over three hundred thousand TikTok followers.
“It’s really about consistency, it’s about boosting yourself, it’s about having the confidence that you can.”

Why Her was initially meant to be a broken-heart ballad but, after getting advice from those around her, Jordan-Lee went the opposite direction, turning the song into a pop-driven catharsis that she hopes will be related to by anyone who's been left for another.
