The late deputy president's state funeral service was held at the Hoërskool Bergvlam in Mbombela, Mpumalanga and was attended by family, members of the ANC and members of opposition parties.

JOHANNESBURG - Deputy President David Mabuza was laid to rest on 12 July 2025. He died in a Sandton hospital on 3 July 2025 following a brief illness. He was 64 years old.
The late deputy president's state funeral service was held at the Hoërskool Bergvlam in Mbombela, Mpumalanga and was attended by family, members of the ANC and members of opposition parties.
He was laid to rest at his Barberton home.
