TikTok is no stranger to viral dance trends, but the latest one, Aura Farming, isn’t just about moves; it’s about vibe. And it all began with 11-year-old Rayyan Arkan Dikha from Riau, Indonesia.
Dikha went viral during the traditional Pacu Jalur boat race, where he performed as the Togak Luan — a boat dancer whose role is to boost morale for the rowing team. But Dikha didn’t just lift spirits — he stole the internet’s heart.
Wearing sunglasses and oozing charisma, his now-iconic dance features smooth hand rolls and swaying hand gestures, air kisses, sky-pointing gestures, and a deadpan, ultra-chill expression — serving peak confidence and swagger from the front of a wooden boat. His nonchalant swag and confident charm captured what fans now call the 'aura farming' aesthetic: radiating a magnetic, effortless rizz.
Clips of Dikha's performance, often set to the hit song 'Young Black & Rich' by Melly Mike, have racked up millions of views, drawing in celebrities like DJ Steve Aoki and NFL star Travis Kelce, who’ve hopped aboard the trend.
Dikha's positive internet fame has impacted his reality.
He’s been appointed 'Tourism Ambassador of Riau Province', a role aimed at promoting the region’s culture and natural beauty. To support his future, local authorities also awarded him a scholarship worth Rp 20 million (Indonesian Rupiahs), which converts to about R22,000.
"He's just the master of cool... if you want to see cool aura, it’s this boy," says Friedman.
Dikha's rise is more than a moment — it’s proof that a little swagger and a lot of heart can take you far, and change your community for the better.
