Jacobs' Legal Aid lawyer, Asomgezwa Mfuya, on Thursday told the court that his client was not a flight risk.
Mfuya, who cross-examined anti-kidnapping unit detective, Sergeant David Fortuin, said that Jacobs was also the primary caregiver to three other children who did not have anyone else to look after them.
Fortuin argued that should Jacobs remain in custody, social services would provide the children with support.
The detective also told the court that police had evidence which suggested that Jacobs pretended to be three different woman as part of her alleged plan to abduct the baby.
The bail hearing continues.
