Children stranded in Europe: ‘I take responsibility’ - Brandon Timmy, owner of BT Football Academy

Timmy says the academy ‘tried to assist as best as possible’ and all the parents will be reimbursed.
This is after an international football tour for children turned sour when the group was left stranded in Europe with no return flights.
“[The tour] was funded by the parents, the guardians of the players. And then logistically, I was the person responsible… I take responsibility for how things have panned out… I tried my utmost best to ensure that it was going to be the best experience.”

“When we applied for our visas, we had travel agents that helped us get reservations… and obviously consulting them with regards to ticket prices.”

Thanks to community donations, the group should be heading back to Cape Town within the week.
