Commercial airliner Airlink has suspended some of its flights to and from four cities in the country due to bad weather conditions.
Airlink said there are scheduled disruptions in Kruger Mpumalanga, Pietermaritzburg, Richards Bay and Mthatha airports.
The airliner has blamed the country’s air traffic navigation services for failing to maintain the instrument flight procedures at the affected airports.
Instrument flight procedures are pre-planned, published instructions for planes to ensure safe and efficient navigation, especially in low-visibility conditions.
The CEO of Airlink, de Villiers Engelbrecht, has assured customers that they are working to get them to their respective destinations as quickly as possible with minimum risk and inconvenience.
