Father of murdered Nada-Jane Challita relieved to know truth of what happened to his daughter
Elie Challita's former partner, Amber Lee Hughes, was arrested for the child’s murder and was charged with two counts of rape and murder. On Thursday, she admitted to drowning the child.

JOHANNESBURG - The father of four-year-old Nada-Jane Challita said he was relieved now that he knew the truth about what happened to his child.
Nada-Jane Challita was found floating in a bathtub in the East Rand apartment she lived in with her father and his partner, Amber Lee Hughes in 2023.
Hughes was arrested for the child’s murder and was charged with two counts of rape and murder.
On Thursday, she admitted to drowning the child.
Elie Challita said if Hughes was truthful from the start, they could have avoided this case being dragged out.
"Now I know legally she killed my child. Now I want to know for how long she tortured my child before she killed her."
