Premier Alan Winde said he's been reassured that there is currently enough fuel in the Western Cape to meet demand despite rising public concern.
Winde said the Fuel Industry Association of South Africa (FIASA) and the provincial Joint Operations Centre have confirmed that fuel imports for March and April have already been secured to maintain supply.
However, diesel stocks are under increased pressure due to high demand.

The provincial government has acknowledged growing anxiety among residents and stakeholders about the possible impact of the ongoing Middle East conflict on fuel availability.
Winde said that while overall fuel supply remains stable, some isolated shortages have been reported.
He said the shortages are believed to be due to certain suppliers delaying the release of fuel to customers.
"I want to reiterate that with supply being held back, that is unethical. We need the economy to continue, and we need to make sure those citizens and businesses need to be able to go about their daily business."
Winde has urged residents to rely on credible sources for updates and information, as unverified social media posts may be misleading.
