She said her 25-year-old son, Lucian, was shot and killed in the area in July.
Haynes said she's heartbroken knowing that the person who murdered his son is still roaming the streets.
"Me losing my son is really heartbreaking, and still a lot of mothers are losing their children over this crime. People are asking what the police are doing? Police are doing their job, but it's the community itself that doesn't want to do something about it."
Community and church leader Pastor Charles George said crime in the area should never be normalised.
"So, it has become a little bit worse if you look at the stats. I'm not sure who is gathering the stats, but if you speak to the community, they will tell you exactly what is happening."
