JOHANNESBURG - The lawyer for the murder accused Tiffany Nicole Meek has accused the State of not conducting a thorough investigation into the death of slain 11-year-old Jayden-Lee Meek.
Novel Naidoo made the claim during his cross-examination in Meek’s bail application at the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court on Saturday.
The court heard a few arguments and claims concerning the day Jayden-Lee disappeared, when his body was discovered in May.
Naidoo tried to poke holes in the investigating officer’s statements and evidence he presented.
"Sir, you just marked with an X. Where are those traces of blood on that picture? Not yet. I don't see. But when I saw the bathtub, I saw what I'm talking about. That is an exhibit that you intend using as a trial. Taken by a professional photographer employed by the SAPS. And there's no blood stains on it."
