Veteran cyclist Dennis Hammar was riding through the city centre when he was attacked by someone trying to steal his cellphone.
The 77-year-old was under the bridge near the Artscape on Monday when someone attacked him with a bottle.
Dennis tragically died in the hospital when he was receiving treatment.
The Pedal Power Association says there have been ongoing attacks on cyclists as a result of the informal settlement that has popped up on Prasa land.
“This is an ongoing problem… it seems to be that every single time we move forward, we take two steps back.”
