JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng police called on the public to assist them in finding the culprits behind the brutal murder of four women in Pretoria.
This comes after police discovered the charred remains of three women between Waltloo and Denneboom in June and July, with the latest discovery of the fourth victim’s burnt remains found at Waltloo train station on Monday.
Provincial police spokesperson Brigadier Breenda Muridili said they had established a task team to investigate the matter.
"No one has been arrested yet, but the task team established to investigate the murders is working around the clock following possible leads to trace the perpetrators. The team comprises of seasoned detectives, Crime Intelligence, forensic and crime scene experts."
