JOHANNESBURG - The families of the two detectives who were shot and killed while on duty last Friday will receive assistance with funeral arrangements.
The officers were murdered while transporting Jabulani Moyo back to prison following his court appearance at the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court.

Moyo escaped custody after the attack and was last seen driving the police vehicle, which was later found abandoned.
Acting Minister of Police Firoz Cachalia visited the bereaved families and condemned the senseless violence targeting police officers.
"Support for the family in making the funeral arrangements and for all the consequences that follow a murder of a police officer.
"The responsibility of the provincial commissioner has assured me that all of that has been taken, and the family, all of that has been taken care of."
