Can you imagine a drone dropping your online grocery order into your garden or your backyard from the sky?
Well, American retail giant Walmart is going full throttle in the race to own the skies.
The company has introduced drone deliveries, promising to drop items on doorsteps in under 30 minutes.
Walmart claims to have completed 20,000 drone deliveries over two years of trials, saying it has the largest drone delivery network of any US retailer.
The service will bring snacks, drinks, and last-minute must-haves to homes at a speed that's hard to beat - with some deliveries reportedly clocking in at just 10 minutes.
Walmart says shoppers are mostly using the service for impulse buys.
"People on socials are going, how is a package falling 300 miles per hour to the earth better than having it delivered...?"
