Light aircraft makes emergency landing after suffering double engine failure in George

CAPE TOWN - A small aircraft heading to George Airport in the Western Cape made an emergency landing after suffering a double engine failure.
The plane, carrying two people, went down about 15 kilometres from the airport, crash landing near a cemetery in Thembalethu township on Saturday morning.
Civil Aviation Authority Spokesperson Sisa Majola said that an investigation, into the incident is underway.
"The aircraft departed from the Vereeniging Airport with an intent of landing at George Airport with two occupants on board, one was a pilot, and one was a passenger. Both the occupants were taken to a nearby hospital.”
Majola said that a full report will be released by the accident and incident investigations division within the next 30 days.
