JOHANNESBURG -The Gauteng government has promised to address issues raised by some Soweto residents attending the G20 summit awareness programme on Thursday.
The residents, who gathered at the Diepkloof Community Hall on Thursday, criticised the provincial government, saying they have been excluded from the G20 preparations.
They also reiterated that their longstanding service delivery complaints have been sidelined and are only being addressed for the G20 leaders coming to the country.
Provincial Health MEC Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko, who is standing in for Premier Panyaza Lesufi, welcomed the honest feedback.
“Bring those issues that you feel must be resolved by the premier and by the departments. I will channel them. If you want me to come to Soweto Parliament with my colleagues, we will do that.”
