Lolitha was last seen playing with Matyeseni's daughter at the couple's home before she was reported missing.
Jack and Matyeseni abandoned their bail after failing to secure an alternative address.
Ward 99 councilor in Khayelitsha, Lonwabo Mqina, said this was good news as the community's been against the granting of bail.
"What we wanted is for these criminals to rot in jail and we are told that they've abandoned their bail application, which is actually great news for us because it means that they will be where they belong."
Community worker, Mickey Linda, said that Lolitha's murder had caused a lot of anxiety in the community.
"Our children are still indoors, they're always watching TV and we are scared for them to go outside. That is why we are thinking that as mothers we must approach government to build us a structure that can be a place where every child can go to when they come back from school."
