DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal’s Transport Department has deployed teams to locate the families of four people who died in a crash near Bergville.
The collision, involving a truck and a minibus, happened on the N3 on Saturday.
It comes almost a week after another tragic crash claimed six lives, including five members of the same family, over the weekend.
Transport spokesperson Ndabezinhle Sibiya said that officials will now intensify their road safety strategy to help prevent further fatalities.
"Four people have died in this horrific crash involving a truck and a minibus-taxi near Bergville interchange. The MEC has expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims. He has assigned a team from the department to locate the families of the victims whose lives have been altered by this tragedy."
