Watching sport live can be exhilarating but the modern experience can be very different to what some people are used to.

At the recent Springboks match at Cape Town Stadium some attendees had issues with the loudspeakers, blaring music, and enthusiastic announcers.

“Every time there is a break in play, I do not want 20 seconds of a song. I just want to focus on the rugby… I am old-fashioned, I want to go there, I want to watch the rugby, I want to chat about the rugby with the people I am sitting next to, and I want to leave.”
– CapeTalk’s John Maytham

Despite a few grumbles, John did have a great time watching the rugby and understands that this is all part of what it's like today.
