National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola is set to be the next witness to testify at the Madlanga Commission when it resumes on Monday.

The commission, established by President Cyril Ramaphosa, is looking into allegations of corruption within the justice system.

KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi was the commission’s first witness.

When the National Police Commissioner takes the stand tomorrow, he is expected to respond to Mkhwanazi’s claims of undue influence to disband the KZN SAPS political killings task team.

The Commission’s spokesperson, Jeremy Michaeals, said, “We would also like to remind those members of the public who want to attend the hearing that they should bring along a valid identity document or driver’s licence, and that no weapons will be permitted on the commission’s premises, the Brigitte Mabandla Justice College in Pretoria."
