Another cop linked to Chesnay Keppler's murder nabbed

JOHANNESBURG - Another police officer linked to the murder of Gauteng crime warden Chesnay Keppler has been arrested.
Keppler was allegedly shot and killed by her police officer boyfriend, Mandla Buthelezi, after a dispute in December last year.
The independent police investigating directorate says the officer is Buthelezi’s friend.

A constable linked to Gauteng’s Crime Prevention Unit was arrested on Friday.
It is understood that the officer who is Buthelezi’s friend was present on the day Chesnay Keppler was shot.
The Independent Police Investigative Directorate spokesperson Lizzy Suping said the 35-year-old had also attacked Keppler’s friends.
“He allegedly assaulted Chesnay Keppler’s three friends after they were engaged in an argument with him. Thereafter, the constable fired shots in the direction of Kepler’s friends, who decided to leave.’
The constable is facing charges of attempted murder and defeating the ends of justice.
