Listen below:
Mzansi’s favourite youth choir has reimagined Queen’s masterpiece 'Bohemian Rhapsody', in their native language with their iconic sound.
This is the first time in the song’s nearly 50-year history that Queen officially approved a translated recording.
“It’s an incredible privilege for us to have gotten permission to translate the song… to do it in Zulu and take the song back to the continent where Freddie Mercury was born.”
– Ralf Schmitt, Ndlovu Youth Choir conductor
The Ndlovu Youth Choir is going on the road next month, with its Heritage Tour visiting Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, the Northern Cape, North West and Free State.
“It’s just a celebration of heritage, youth, and the power of music. To bring South Africans together.”
– Ralf Schmitt, Ndlovu Youth Choir conductor
