Madia was the associate politics editor at EWN.
ANC secretary general Fikile Mbalula said, “Tshidi was an important person to South Africa as a journalist. We believe, as the ANC, that she conducted herself with integrity. There are many things that get to be said about people when they are no more, but as South Africans from all walks of life, we’ve converged with one message around Tshidi that was a patriot.”
He has urged the family to celebrate their daughter.
“We were saying to the family, the father and uncles inside, that they should be proud to see how South Africans have reacted to the passing on of Tshidi.”
