JOHANNESBURG - Level one water throttling is set to continue in high demand areas across Johannesburg.
In a media briefing on Friday, the utility had given an update on where the state of water supply and intervention plans are for their infrastructure systems.
Joburg Water said some areas identified as high consumption places and illegal connectivity will be subject to water restrictions to regulate levels.

Joburg Water managing director Ntshavheni Mukwevho said although restrictions are being implemented, there’s no need to worry about a foreseeable day zero.
"We're on level one, water restriction. And why we're on level one? Because we know that the system, the demand overall, it's more than what the system can be able to provide. And we need to be able to implement this level one restriction, which will level one restriction as much as the things that we are dealing with on our side of really managing the demand."
