For Heritage Month, from 22 to 28 September, PRASA Western Cape will be providing special train services between Cape Town Station and Fish Hoek, where shuttles will then take commuters to Cape Point, where entry to all SANParks sites are free for South African citizens.

A return trip will cost commuters less than R20, while MyCiTi and taxi shuttle services will transport people from Fish Hoek Station to Cape Point and back, for free.

Maseko says this is an opportunity for Capetonians to explore and have an adventure in their own City.

"We live in a very beautiful City and we want to share it with others... we believe, as PRASA, this is the best way we can showcase what we have in terms of heritage and tourism."
- Raymond Maseko, Regional Manager - Metrorail, Western Cape
"Our trains, now that we have improved safety, and we have brand new trains, can offer so much more. We want people to understand that this is the people's train... it is part of connecting communities to opportunities, connecting communities to schools, and it's also part of a semblance of what's happening in our City... come and enjoy it!"
- Raymond Maseko, Regional Manager - Metrorail, Western Cape
