After the Pretoria North Magistrates Court denied him bail, police are still investigating disgraced Sergeant Fannie Nkosi for how he got his hands on the dockets found at his house.
Nkosi made an appearance in court on Wednesday, where the magistrate ruled that he failed to prove that his release was in the interest of justice.
Nkosi is facing firearm-related charges after police allegedly found seven guns and 400 rounds of ammunition in his house, which was raided earlier this month.
He was a key witness in the Madlanga Commission, where he was accused of being the middleman between senior police officers and suspected crime bosses.

When police raided the home of Nkosi, police allegedly found six dockets - four originals and two copies in his Wendy house.
One of the originals relates to the robbery of a British American Tobacco truck, which went missing in 2016.
Nkosi has been charged with the theft of dockets and defeating the ends of justice.
The South African Police Service (SAPS)'s Athlenda Mathe said their investigation into how Nkosi ended up with the dockets continues.
Mathe said police have welcomed the denial of bail for Nkosi because he poses a direct threat to SAPS operations.
