WATCH: Little boy delighted by birthday Coco Pops gets flooded with gifts

CapeTalk’s John Maytham speaks with Lucretia Dowers, mother of seven-year-old Stanley Dowers Junior.

When Stanley Junior walked into the room on his 7^th birthday and saw a breakfast of Coco Pops, his face completely lit up.

His mom surprised him with a box and took a video of his reaction, which has since gained over a million views.

His beautiful expression and gratitude were so endearing that it has led to an outpouring of love from across the country, and even overseas.

His home became a place of deliveries for the young boy to help him celebrate his birthday.

“There were so many gifts. A lot of people donated money for him... a lot of people sent him gifts, they are still sending them. I'm thankful for every single person who's donating stuff for him and sending him gifts, sending him beautiful messages.”

Stanley popped in on air to speak to John and says one of his favourite gifts in a plush tortoise that he has named Tortie.

Lucretia says when she asked him what he wanted for his birthday, he said all he wanted was Coco Pops.

She says she only expected this video to be seen by family and friends, but it blew up overnight.
