JOHANNESBURG -The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry into the criminal justice system will kick off at 10am on Wednesday, with KZN police commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, as the first witness to testify.
In a statement released on Monday, commission spokesperson Jeremy Michaels confirmed work will start at 10am on day one and thereafter every day at 9:30am.
Michaels also confirmed that seating at the Brigitte Mabandla Justice College in Pretoria for members of the public is limited to three hundred.
"People attending will be seated on a first come, first-served basis. Therefore, members of the public must arrive early if they wish to secure a seat. An additional reason for early arrival is that strict access control measures will be in place and no unauthorised entry will be permitted."
He added that parking is also limited.
"Public access to the venue is via the entrance on Struben Street, between Lillian Ngoyi and Sisulu streets. Members of the public should note that parking at the justice college is very limited. It is therefore advisable to seek alternative parking."
