JOHANNESBURG - More than 5,000 Ford Ranger models have been recalled by the National Consumer Commission (NCC) due to pedal defects.
On Tuesday, the NCC issued a statement this afternoon after the Ford Motor Company notified them about complications in vehicles, including its Wildtrack, Tremore, and Platinum 2025 and 2026 models.
In August, the giant car manufacturer recalled more than 20,000 Ford Ranger and Everest models over safety concerns.
NCC’s spokesperson Phetho Ntaba said all affected consumers should contact their nearest dealerships to have their cars inspected.
“A total of 5,676 vehicles due to a defect and, of course, they say drivers of these affected vehicles may notice a change in the pedal feel, where in some instances they will require that they increase their efforts to brake the vehicle, and of course, they say this is due to a loss of feature.”
