The Higher Education and Training Department is calling on community organisations and individuals to apply to serve on the Community Education and Training (CET) Colleges Council.
The department said interested parties should have experience in governance, education and training, and community development.
Spokesperson for the Minister of Higher Education, Matshepo Seedat, said the council is among others, responsible for oversight as well as the transformation at colleges across the country.
"This effort is part of the broader CET renewal strategy of aligning colleges with the District Development Model, strengthening teaching and learning, expanding access to literacy and skills, and making CET colleges central to local development."
