The case against four former policemen linked to a multi-million rand jewellery heist in Cape Town has been moved to the Wynberg Regional Court.

Jacobus Groenewald, Bradley Minnaar, Mthuthuzeli Mafanya, and Bathandwa Soldati made a brief appearance at the Wynberg Magistrate's Court on Monday.

The ex-cops are accused of stealing jewellery worth R20 million from a house in Llandudno more than a year ago.

Jacobus Groenewald, Bradley Minnaar, Mthuthuzeli Mafanya, and Bathandwa Soldati were fired from the police service earlier this year for their alleged involvement in the house robbery in Llandudno.

The court has amended some of their bail conditions to allow them to look for work.

Prosecutors have requested the transcripts of the bail applications of all the accused to be made available for trial preparations.

However, Groenewald's lawyers are against this, arguing that the magistrate who presided over the bail application did not thoroughly explain to the accused what his rights are.

All the accused testified and dealt with the merits of the case during their bail applications.
