Five suspects are set to appear in the Goodwood Magistrate's Court in Cape Town on Monday for their alleged involvement in the murder of a 14-year-old boy in Elsies River.
The teen was murdered on his way home from school last week Friday.
Police believe the motive for the attack is gang-related.
According to community members, several shots had also been fired in the area the day before the teen was killed.

Elsies River community worker, Steve Ross, said more needs to be done to channel young people into after-school activities and programmes offered by the community to keep them off the streets.
"So there are many programmes. Even the scouts is right in the centre of Elsies River. So, we have activities, but I think we as a community don't maybe share that sufficiently enough so that more youth can be attracted to those activities."
