Cape Town firefighters are busy trying to put out a fire at Cavendish Square Mall in Claremont.
Firefighters responded to a call of a fire on one of the parking levels at the mall just before noon.
Fire service spokesperson, Edward Bosch, said preliminary reports suggested that the fire was coming from the extractor fans.
"Upon arrival, crews discovered smoke issuing from the roof of the mall. Law enforcement was requested to assist with evacuating users from the building. Crews have managed to locate the seat of the fire, which is on the P3 level, 3rd floor."
