Patriotic Alliance (PA) deputy president, Kenny Kunene, has been cleared of any wrongdoing following an investigation into his alleged criminal connections.
Kunene was being investigated after he was found at the Sandton home of Katiso 'KT' Molefe in July when police showed up to arrest the controversial businessman.
Molefe is accused of masterminding the 2022 murder of musician Oupa Sefoka, known as DJ Sumbody, and two of his bodyguards.
At the time, Kunene said he was at Molefe's house, accompanying a young journalist from his online news website, Africa News Global.

Kunene was subsequently suspended by the PA, and he resigned from his position as Johannesburg MMC for Transport.
PA leader Gayton McKenzie announced on Facebook on Monday that the investigation by a law firm found Kunene's story checks out.
"To the DP, you have shown absolute leadership. When you were asked to step down from being an MMC, you asked me 'Must I also step down as councillor' and I said yes. You stepped down from being councillor and you never went out to go and badmouth the party."
