Man shot & killed in suspected gang hit in Lentegeur

A 29-year-old man has been killed in a suspected gang hit in Lentegeur in Mitchells Plain.

Officers responded to the scene in Samantha Street on Tuesday morning.

Police said that two gunmen approached the victim and opened fire before fleeing the scene.

Police spokesperson Joseph Swartbooi said that investigators were still in the area.
 
"The victim was declared deceased on the scene by the medical personnel. The unknown suspects fled the scene, and they are yet to be arrested. The motive for this attack is believed to be gang-related. Lentegeur police are investigating a murder."
