Pro-Palestinian activists call on S.Africans to mobilise against the crimes being committed by Israel in Gaza

Pro-Palestinian activists are calling for South Africans to mobilise against the crimes being committed by Israel in Gaza.
The groups gathered at the Muslim Judicial Council (MJC) in Cape Town on Thursday to give a briefing on their upcoming march.
Over 1,000 people are expected to hand over a memorandum of demands to government officials at Parliament on Saturday.

Activist group Mothers4Gaza is calling on South Africa to impose sanctions on all companies trading with Israel.
Member Irene Knight said there was power in people and numbers.
"We’ve been through oppression, we’ve been through apartheid, we know what it is to have Bantustans, we know what it is... the brown and black people know what it is to be second-class citizens in their own country. We have to take the stance, we have to be in the forefront of this fight for the Palestinian people."
