A new development out of China may revolutionise how we treat broken bones.
The new ‘bone glue’ can heal fractures in a matter of minutes with a single injection.
Bone fractures traditionally take months to heal and often require invasive surgeries.
In a recent trial case with this bone glue, called ‘Bone-02’, a patient’s fractured wrist was healed in three minutes.
In a check-up three months later, they found the bone had healed with no complications.
The glue was inspired by oysters and how they stick to underwater surfaces that are moist, salty, and constantly moving, much like the environment inside our bodies.

The glue works by being injected into the fracture site and bonding the fractured pieces of bone together.
“This is quite remarkable. I hope it is all true.”
