The African National Congress (ANC) has unveiled what it calls an Economic Action Plan designed to stimulate economic growth over the next 18 months.
Party president Cyril Ramaphosa is presenting the plan at the party’s special National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Boksburg.
The plan focuses on three core priorities: strengthening the electricity grid, accelerating infrastructure development, and building state capacity.
Ramaphosa stated that the plan will be implemented through government structures, with tangible results expected by 2027.
"The NEC resolves that an economic war room should be established in the Presidency to coordinate cross-government performance, monitoring and publish regular score cards on progress. Fundamental to the success of these efforts will be sound institutional governance."
