South African Church Defenders' march to Union Buildings to impact Tshwane traffic

Tshwane motorists are warned that several streets in the city that will be affected by protest action, set to begin on Wednesday morning.
Christian advocacy group the South African Church Defenders will lead a march to the Union Buildings in the capital on Wednesday to oppose what it says are attempts at unconstitutional state control of the church.
Tshwane metro police outlined that affected streets include Struben Street, Sophie de Bruyn Street, Madiba Street and Lilian Ngoyi Street.
Spokesperson Isaac Mahamba is urging road users to find alternative routes.
"Motorists are advised to use alternative routes such as Pretorius Street, Nana Sita Street and Boom Street. The marchers are expected to disperse from the Union Buildings at 2pm in the afternoon. The Tshwane metro police department and South African Police Services will be deployed to monitor the march and all affected streets."
