Mogotsiis accused of meddling in police affairs.
Mogotsi was not present at his Mahikeng business premises when police pounced on his bottle store, searching for confidential documents related to Crime Intelligence.
It’s understood the raid was carried out under a search and seizure warrant.
This follows accusations that Mogotsi, who is not a member of the South African Police Service (SAPS) or an informant for Crime Intelligence, has been meddling in police investigations and colluding with alleged tender fraudster Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala.
Last week, the Madlanga Commission confirmed that it had issued notices to Mogotsi to appear before it.
Mogotsi has featured prominently in the commission, with National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola, Crime Intelligence head Dumisani Khumalo and KwaZulu-Natal police boss Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi all accusing him of peddling information within SAPS.
