KwaZulu-Natal Police top cop, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, says he can confirm that Minister Senzo Mchunu had an "unethical relationship" with controversial North West businessman Brown Mogotsi.
Mkhwanazi said he has evidence on how Mogotsi facilitated meetings during the African National Congress (ANC) January 8 gathering in Cape Town, between Mchunu and murder accused Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala.
He was responding to questions about Mchunu and his connections with criminal underworld figures during the second day of the Parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee hearings.

Mkhwanazi was quizzed by the MK Party's Sibonelo Nomvalo about the relationship between Mchunu, Mogotsi and Matlala.
He had told MPs that they came across messages that proved Mogotsi was involved in the disbanding of the Political Killings Task Team.
"Do you believe that Minister Mchunu has a deep, unethical relationship with Brown Mogotsi and Matlala?"
Mkhwanazi said he has every reason to believe Mchunu acted in an unethical manner.
"I can confirm that the relationship between Mogotsi and the minister is unethical. Unethical in the sense that, for starters, the minister claimed he did not know the fellow he's talking about. But it's been proven by the same minister that the person is a comrade."
Mkhwanazi said the two communicated through December and January and Mogotsi facilitated for Matlala to take care of Mchunu's guests in Cape Town.
