Despite the cancellation of the Cape Town Marathon, many runners still made the most of the day.
The race was called off early on Sunday morning after strong winds damaged parts of the route.
But that didn’t stop dozens of participants from hitting the streets for an informal run along the marathon route.
Graham Spiro said that he and his running club weren’t going to let the day go to waste.
"So, what actually happened was that we took a decision to make the best of the morning. We all got together anyway, we had a beautiful run out on what turned out to be a really lovely day in Cape Town. We ran on some of the most beautiful roads in the world."
