Four teenagers reportedly attacked a group in a house suspected to be a drug den on Tuesday.

The group opened fire, leaving two dead and five others critically injured, all of whom were under 19 years old.

It is believed the attack is linked to gang violence in the area.

SAPS Spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe says the youngest victim was 13.

“They are school-going kids. They should be in the classrooms, but they were not. They were in a house smoking hookah pipes, gambling, and doing all sorts of illegal activities,” she says.

Mathe says all the alleged perpetrators are minors, meaning SAPS cannot circulate pictures to ask the public for help in locating them.
