Acting Judge President Aubrey Ledwaba has denied receiving any money to grant bail to alleged crime kingpin Katiso Molefe.
The release of Molefe on bail was discussed this week at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, where one of the investigating officers alleged that Molefe paid R2.5 million for his release.
The alleged crime boss was granted R100,000 bail in June in the Pretoria High Court, after his initial application was denied by the Vereeniging Magistrates Court.
Molefe was arrested for the murder of Armand Swart, a Vereeniging engineer who was killed in a case of mistaken identity.
Judge Ledwaba has unequivocally denied receiving any bribes to grant Molefe bail.
