Counterfeit goods worth R8m confiscated in Bellville

A large haul of counterfeit goods was confiscated by a multi-disciplinary law enforcement team in Belville on Thursday.
Police said the estimated value of the clothing, footwear and accessories amounted to a total of R8 million.
No arrests were made but investigations continue to determine the source of the illicit goods.
Police spokesperson, Andre Traut, urged members of the public to report the sale of illicit goods.
"Members of the public are urged to report the sale of counterfeit products to the nearest police station or the SAPS crime stop number 08 600 10 111."
